Our FUR CHILDREN

Some people may wonder.....they have 4 dogs but only 2 went to MAUI??? It was the hardest thing to decide that we would have to split up our family in order for us to move to Maui.....
But things could not have ended up more perfect for all.

KAISER

 We started our "fur family" together in August of 2002 with our first pup...KAISER! He was named after Kaiser Soze from the movie "Usual Suspects".  He was only $25 and ended up being THE best dog ever.  

Kaiser is a husky-german shepherd mix with one blue & one brown eye! His last weigh-in was at 128 POUNDS!!! Hence his nick-name "big boy"!! His nick-name of "kaiser bum" turned into "bum-bum" as he became our lazy boy.  He may look very scary & vicious on the outside when he stares at you with all 128 pounds -- but he has the biggest heart and the kindest loving soul. And he gives you the biggest most bestest kisses in the whole world.  He is a gentle giant with a heart of gold.

Given his age, bad hips & love for the cold winters....we (as the best parents) decided that he would be a much happier dog living a lazy life in the midwest.  Our best friend Kim was originally going to keep him for us because he always loved it when she came over.  We nicknamed Kim Kaiser's "girlfriend"!! 

 

However, after Kaiser lived in Missouri with his grandpa all summer...someone fell in love with him & one morning my dad asked "do you think Kim would mind if I just kept Kaiser?" My heart melted instantly and brought tears to my eyes.  My dads home in Missouri is in the middle of nowhere surrounded by forest & the lake.  My dad works part time & they would keep each other perfect company!

So, Kaiser now lives in Missouri with grampy & his girlfriend Maria where he will be beyond spoiled with so much love and FOOD!!!  Thank you guys for keeping him.

LIBBY

After I graduated from College in 2003 and "moved-in" with Eric, we decided to add another member to our furfamily.  He found an add in the paper for "beagle puppies" and my first response was...."beagles....UGH....they're not cute and they howl all the time!" But he insisted we go take a look (she was a gift for our 6 year dating anniversary). She was the last one left of the litter and the second he put her on my lap I fell deeply in LOVE!

We took her home that night while she howled the entire car ride home!!! She met her BIG brother Kaiser and they were best buds from the start!

She was born on the 4th of July so Liberty was her perfect name! That turned into Lady Liberty, Libby, Libbers, Libby Lou and then Moo Moo (cause of her spotted belly) and Mush Mush cause when she sleeps all day and picks her head up her face is all mushed together!

Libby ruled the house! She was the only female and they all listened to her! Libby is a cuddler, all she wants is to be right next to you and sleeping under the blankets all day.  Her favorite days were spent cuddling on the couch with mom dad and her three brothers....WE WOULD all fit!! She has attitude, loves to TALK, loves to be doted on and she walks around very dainty and shakes her little booty! She is a lover and homebody.  

Little Libby got the hearts of our dear friends Mark & Karen.  Back when Karen first met Libby she fell in love with her ears and how she just comes and lays down next to her to be loved.  Karen always LOVED Libby...she was definetly her favorite between the four.  In months before we officially decided to make the move she had told us that if we couldn't take Libby they would take her. The Coleman's are our dear friends and part of our family.  They have the biggest hearts & we knew that she would be taken in as a member to their fur family & spoiled rotten with lots of LOVE from them & their dog Jameson.  

So, Libby still had a new brother that she can try & boss around and get attention from.  The two of them are so cute together and Jameson gets excited when he sees Libby! They share toys and cuddle! They are always sending us pictures of them together and updating us on their love.  We couldn't be more greatful to have The Coleman's in our lives as 'family' but they now have a piece of our heart with them & treat her as if she has always been a member of their family.

PAYTON & MADDUX (the lucky ones that got to come with)

So....we had just Kaiser & Libby in our perfect little fur family. But, one day Kandice decided to "kill time" at the pet store.....and came home with more dogs!!! They were so cute in their little cage together....the last two beagles of the litter.  I played with both of them hoping one was cuter than the other....but that was impossible!  I called Eric and as he was half asleep (never thinking I would bring home two more dogs) just said "bring em both home"!! SO....I DID!! And then our family was FOUR!

Payton & Maddux are known as "the boys" they having matching little white hairs on their butts, they always have to be by one another, cuddle every day and night and always lay in mirrored positions all the time!! 

PAYTON also known as P, Master P, 

P-funk, the King.  He thinks he is a human, not a dog and doesn't like to be treated like a dog! He walks around with his head held high and chest sticking out as if to say "yep, Payton is here!" 

 

He thinks he is gods gift to everyone! He loves it when you pet him with your feet and he will follow your toes wherever you move them.  But deep down, he is a little scardy cat!! He will howl and run away from a plastic bag in the yard! He is a big daddy's boy & only when he feels like it he will cuddle! He was Kaisers little buddy. Kaiser would bark at him and pretend to be a bully but Payton never believed it and would walk right up to him and stare him in the eye! We think Payton always thought he was just as big as Kaiser was! He definetly wanted to be Kaiser!

MADDUX also know as MadMan, M & Maggots.  He has ADD and the biggest heart ever! His tail is ALWAYS up and wagging, he loves to LOVE! 
If you pet him he wants to lick you to say thanks and give you his love.  He has a very hard time sitting still (unless its cuddle time). He is easily distracted, gets excited for EVERYTHING & EVERYONE!




He loves "pawsagges"

His cutest quality is that he is a CLEAN FREAK!! He always has to clean his brother & sisters ears MUTLTIPLE times a day! He loves BLANKETS especially clean fresh ones from the dryer & his paws are always sparkling clean. The vet once told us how clean his brothers ears were...we said yep, his brother cleans them atleast twice a day! 






These two brothers have an inseperable bond that is just precious.  That is why there was no way what so ever that we would split them up. And we could never just give our dogs to a stranger PLUS they were kinda hard to sell to any family or friends as a package deal!! So, they got to be the lucky ones to become beach bums!

And that is the story of our furkids and how they came to be and where they are now.
