We went from Phonenix to San Diego to San Francisco to Maui. I was a bit nervous & of course cried when I had to say bye to the dogs at the airport in Phoenix. They were nicely drugged up and very comfy in their crates full of blankets and toys.
It was adorable because each flight when we got to our seats we received these little tickets letting us know the pups were on board and safe :)
The flights went so smooth minus a 4 hour layover and they wouldn't even let us let the dogs out to go to the bathroom :( But they were so good because after 14 hours they had no accidents!!
This was them going up the conveyor belt...side by side for their last flight 5 hours across the ocean to Maui.
Eric & I grabbed some drinks....slept a tad bit....
and next thing we knew it was time to land.....we kept looking at eachother and laughing with a crazy look on our faces!!

We touched down in our new home on Dec 15, 2011 in Maui. We were greeted by friends off the airplane in the coolest taxi ever!! We had to rush over to cargo to pick up the pups and let them smell & see Maui for the first time ever! This was their first road trip....a week long...their first airplane ride....over 14 hours with our unexpected delay...and their first time in the sand and seeing water (aside from the bathtub)!!
We got lei'd, we got the pups, 2 little carry-on bags, no jobs & no home!!! We were ready to start Livin the Dream!!

It was very surreal to finally be here after everything we had worked so hard for.
Our purpose in making this move was to get out of our shell, have no regrets, experience a challenge, a huge change and a new lifestyle. We were ready to have 'no worries' or at least as little as possibly imagined. Maui is a place where 'anything' goes. It is a melting pot of people who come to vacation, live, start a life or get away for a while. This place has always had place in our hearts whenever we would leave here on vacation to go back home we would get terribly sad inside...because this place was so special to us. We planned to not worry about how many "things" we had, how many cars, how big a home, how large a wardrobe, running around town running a million errands, living paycheck to paycheck, not-enough-time-in-a-day lifestyle anymore...we came to relax in a place where time just slowly goes by...no plans, everyone shares aloha, no grasp of time...no worries.
